Sewing/Cosplaying

There is so many things you can do with sewing, thought I have only made one full set cosplay outfit I hope to get more inspired to make more and challenge myself. 

I would love to make more cosplay outfits from my favorite characters, or design a steam punk line , or a different style. I have really gotten into reshaping plain over sized t-shirts  in to form fitting ones that are more feminine.

I have a few Youtube channels that got me interested in sewing and creating different styles out if little on hand. 

To a more complex design to making your own cosplay outfit.She inspires me to do something this amazing.

There are so many costume ideas. I just have to get better at sewing them.

The things I have sewn are;

And I altered the pink top from a Large mens top to a female tank top with mesh in the back.

Make- Up

I love make-up. Even though I never have the time to actually wear it much or put it on that well as some people can I still enjoy it. And my favorite thing about make-up is the great amount of freedom you have to do with it. Become a whole new character. Its insane the way costume make-up or even regular fashion make-up can change a face, a style ,  mood.

Scrapbooking

So most people think scrap booking is something for old ladies do or stay at home mothers, well I like to say I am neither and fully enjoy scrap booking.Its a chance to take your memories ,your experience, your moments and express them on pages.
I love the freedom of taking a picture and cutting it up, adding anything you want to it to make it more personal, more of a memory. I have had years and years of scrap booking and i am always looking for new ideas that I get inspired, from movies, comic books, magazines and so on. I have over 8 books full and always add more when ever I have the time. Not everyone can look back at their past so I wanted to fully take the opportunity to be able to see my history when I am older and share them.
There is no wrong way to scrapbook. I have seen organized even style, wild and random, dark, colourful, collages, single pictures, themes, the ideas are endless. I have used a bit of everything.
I have a few favorite pages. And when I take more pictures I will add them here but here are a few I have on hand with me.

Portal

 

I love this game. I love this song. I actually enjoy all Portal songs even the new one " Now I only want you gone"

This single player or multi-player game ( In the 2nd one only) is a great thinking game play. With puzzles to solve and very witty sayings from your dear, computer , friend, GLaDOS.

The art work is simple but thats why I like this game , the concept and idea is very easy and they just make it in to a fun story to play out. 

You play Chell a girl who is trapped in a building and must test your way out to defeat GLaDOS who every remark to you isn't very positive and shows what machines really think about humans.( They think we are quite  dumb)

I enjoy that the main character is a girl finally, but in both games she is a mute. Oh well can't win them all.  

The Portal gun is very awesome and would love to have a real one, traveling would be so much easier. I might one day try to make this portal gun for a cosplay outfit if I can figure out how to make something like this. Either way its very cool.

I have done one art work for Portal2 and always hope to do more. 

 If  I were to make a game I would like it to be something like Portal. Different, with challenges that haven't been done.( it gets a bit repetitive but hey you only have a portal gun as a prop), with interesting characters and witty lines. 

If you haven't played this game I recommend it, just for the lines its worth it.

Fashion

        I love fashion, so when I saw this video I thought it was the greatest. I am really in to vintage and older styles , which this video takes you back in time to 100 years of London  fashion .  Fashion is such  a big inspiration to me because you can basically dress anyway you feel .To express who you are on the outside.Its just a lot of fun to try new things out that make it you. If I had tons of money to spend I would most likely shop at every thrift store, second hand store or vintage store I could find. These pieces are so unique and tell such stories about our past. 

Plus the video is very well done with its seamless cut scenes. And its a cool way to show it all off.

But I am always trying to find new styles. Specially the Steampunk style with the futuristic  and the old. I have fallen in love with this look.( Picture below).

Fashion is forever changing just like your feelings and moods and life, so its only fair that you switch it up now and again.
